The founder
What thirteen years on a recruitment desk teaches you
Hiraya Talent was founded by Elton Aclao, who goes by Pep and runs the group's desks from Manila.
Most of what I learned came after the placement.
Whether an engagement works depends on who pays the professional properly, who checks in early, and who owns the outcome. None of that is settled by the shortlist.
I have run recruitment desks from Manila for thirteen years, mostly for companies in other time zones. Finding someone capable was rarely the hard part.
The engagements that lasted had someone still paying attention in month three. The ones that came apart usually had a payment question nobody answered, or a first month nobody reviewed.
Hiraya Talent is built around that second part. We find the person, engage and pay them, and stay in the engagement long after the start date.

The name
What Hiraya means
One word, chosen because it names the feeling on the other side of a good hire.
Hiraya
Hiraya is a Filipino word for the fruit of your hopes and dreams: the thing you imagined, coming true.
We chose it because that is what a good hire feels like from the inside. You pictured the team, and one day it was there, doing the work.

Hiraya Talent is a trade name of Hiraya Recruitment and Staffing LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company.
We work with growing companies in the US, UK, Australia and beyond, including Canada and across APAC.
Founder-led SaaS, professional services, e-commerce operators, agencies and financial services. What they have in common is a manager who can direct a senior professional day to day.
Clients contract with the company and work with one named account owner from the first call.
